The Sturgis Public Library, located at 3865 Hwy. 12 West in downtown Sturgis, is one of three public libraries in the Starkville-Oktibbeha County (SOC) Public Library System. Mrs. Perian Kerr is the librarian, and Mrs. Jean Griffin is the assistant librarian.

Mrs. Virginia Holtcamp is director of the county system, with headquarters at the Starkville Public Library, 326 University Drive in Starkville. Anyone who has a current SOC Library System library card may use it in Starkville, Sturgis or Maben. They may use the card when checking out or returning items at the SOC location most convenient for them. They may also request that a book or AV item be borrowed from a library not in the Golden Triangle Consortium for a $3.00 postage charge.

Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Closed on Wednesday and Saturday.
